Women for Dialogue: Restoring Civic Space and Building Community Resilience in Jerusalem and the West Bank
12 April 2026

01/01/2026 – 30/09/2026 (Nine months)

Project Description

An integrated program combining trauma recovery, leadership capacity-building, community mediation, and psychosocial support. The project targets 80 Palestinian women aged 20–40 from Jerusalem and the West Bank, organized into four local groups. Beneficiaries participate in specialized trainings, trauma-informed care circles, deep listening and dialogue sessions, as well as training in psychological first aid and referral mechanisms. In a later stage, participants design community initiatives led by women to address local tensions, build trust, and strengthen social cohesion. Activities conclude with a public forum to exchange experiences, lessons learned, and reinforce sustainability of impact.

Project Goals

The project aims to protect and expand civic space for Palestinian women by equipping them with trauma-informed care skills, mediation, negotiation, and psychosocial support, thereby enhancing their ability to lead community initiatives that foster trust, accountability, and social cohesion in Jerusalem and the West Bank. It also seeks to consolidate the role of women as active leaders in managing community conflicts through peaceful means, and to strengthen their safe and effective participation in public life and local decision-making.
