Project goals
- Developing the capabilities of lawyers in dealing with endowment cases and disputes, by training 20 lawyers on the relevant laws, judicial precedents, the legal status of endowments in Jerusalem, the courts specialized in endowment disputes, registration procedures for real estate properties, and registration procedures.
- Developing the capabilities of the administrators of the lineage endowments in the administrative and financial management of the endowments by training 50 participants from the administrators of the Islamic and Christian endowments in Jerusalem.
- Developing the capabilities of lawyers and endowment administrators to resolve endowment and real estate disputes by training 60 participants on arbitration as an alternative means of resolving disputes.
- Holding seminars for law school students in Palestinian universities to enhance their knowledge about the legal system of waqf (endowment) and its importance for protecting real estate in Jerusalem.
- Providing free legal advice on endowment issues.
