Al- Faisal Center Capacity Promoting Project

Al- Faisal Center Capacity Promoting Project
11 May 2020

After the establishment of the “Al-Faisal Center for Mediation and Arbitration” in 2016, the first specialized center for arbitration and mediation established in the city of Jerusalem since its occupation in 1967, it became a must to work on sustaining the Centre. The Centre promotes the resort to arbitration and legal mediation  to resolve disputes rather than local courts or “Sulha” (tribal conciliation). Today, the goal is achievable after the launching of the project promoting Al-Faisal Center for Mediation and Arbitration.

Project Description

The Project aims to enhance the capabilities of the Al-Faisal Center for Mediation and Arbitration to prepare it for the next stage to expand its services to institutions and individuals, to activate the signed memoranda of understanding, to enter into qualitative partnerships with new programs and institutions, and develop cooperation and networking with regional and international arbitration and mediation institutions. This requires development at the administrative, technical, and functional level in order to be able to undertake all required interventions, whether related to providing legal consultations  and / or resolving civil and commercial disputes. To achieve this, it seeks to secure funding for the salaries of its basic employees, to develop their administrative and professional capabilities, in addition to covering some basic expenses such as the headquarters fees that the institution occupies, developing administrative and financial systems, highlighting the preferential advantages of arbitration and  mediation in media, and presenting success stories that have been achieved to encourage individuals and institutions to resort to it when needed.

Project Goals

Enhancing the capabilities of Al-Faisal Center for Mediation and Arbitration to enable it to extend its services to institutions and individuals in accordance with the best regional and international standards, activating signed memoranda of understanding, and entering new partnerships.

Improving the quality of the mediation, arbitration, and legal consultation services provided by the center.
