Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ACT and Al-Majd Association to Promote Civil Peace and Youth Empowerment in Jenin
Jenin – The ACT Institution for Conflict Resolution and Alternative Dispute Resolution signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Al-Majd Association for Community Development in the Jenin Governorate on March 30, 2026. This initiative reflects both parties' commitment to strengthening community partnerships and unifying efforts to serve the public, thereby advancing social work and enhancing its presence across various sectors.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Reem Sawafta, Chairperson of the Legal Committee at ACT, and Mr. Ghassan Al-Sheikh, Executive Director of the Al-Majd Association, in the presence of Legal Committee member Mr. Mohammed Faheed.
This MoU is part of ongoing efforts to disseminate the culture of mediation and dispute resolution, promote civil peace, and build youth capacity. It also aims to implement community awareness programs targeting marginalized groups, supporting mental and social health in response to the growing need for enhanced social cohesion.
Dr. Sawafta emphasized that this partnership marks a practical launch for qualitative joint initiatives in the northern West Bank. She noted that the collaboration will be translated into specialized training programs, field awareness tours, and youth initiatives designed to instill the values of dialogue and strengthen community bonds.
For his part, Mr. Al-Sheikh expressed his pride in this partnership, highlighting the importance of integrating roles with ACT Institution to implement sustainable development programs that benefit all segments of society.
ACT Institution concluded by affirming that collaborative action is the most effective path toward achieving meaningful change. This step represents the beginning of a proactive cooperation phase aimed at serving the community and supporting the resilience of the Palestinian people.
