ACT for Conflict Resolution conducted a specialized training on mediation skills targeting a group of recent graduates in Jerusalem, as part of the project “A Career Bridge: Enhancing the Employability of Al-Quds Youth”which falls under the umbrella of the Al-Quds Program and is funded by the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC).

The training sessions began in September and concluded in November, totaling 40 training hours delivered by Ms. Mai Abu Ghazaleh. Participants were equipped with the skills and techniques necessary for resolving disputes, with the use of practical, real-life case studies covering diverse contexts.

The program focused on several key areas, including: understanding the principles, ethics, and different models of mediation; learning the stages of the mediation process; and developing core mediation skills such as active listening, reframing, and questioning techniques. Participants also practiced conflict-resolution strategies through realistic mediation simulations and explored the roles of neutrality, confidentiality, and impartiality in mediation processes.
