ACT Strengthens Mediation Culture in Gaza: Specialized Training for Lawyers on Resolving Traditional and Emerging Disputes
ACT for Studies and Alternative Dispute Resolution launched its first training session, “Mediation as a Tool for Dispute Resolution in the Gaza Context,” held via Zoom. The training targets 30 practicing lawyers in Gaza.
Delivered by Mr. Mohammed Hadieh, the program focuses on the fundamentals of mediation and practical mechanisms for addressing community disputes—particularly those that have emerged in the aftermath of the war in Gaza.
Spanning 24 training hours across September and October 2025, the program combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on exercises and real-life case studies.
The inaugural session witnessed active engagement and insightful contributions from participants, reflecting the complexity of disputes in Gaza while underscoring the potential of mediation as a fair and efficient tool to ease community burdens and resolve conflicts.
This initiative forms part of ACT’s broader efforts to institutionalize a culture of alternative dispute resolution and to build professional capacities capable of meeting the pressing needs of Palestinian society.
