ACT and the Regional Network Continue Regional Dialogue to Develop Recommendations on Combating Hate Speech
On August 5, 2025, ACT, in cooperation with the Regional Network for Reconciliation and Forgiveness in the Arab Region, held the second workshop of its regional initiative aimed at dismantling hate speech and promoting inclusive dialogue across the Arab world.
The session brought together 28 participants from diverse backgrounds—including religious leaders, academics, civil society actors, and regional experts—from various Arab countries. The workshop focused on discussing and refining the key recommendations emerging from previous sessions and fieldwork, contributing to the comprehensive set of proposals that this project aims to produce.
The discussions were rich, strategic, and deeply informed by the lived experiences and professional insights of those present. This workshop represents a crucial step in ACT’s ongoing efforts to engage regional stakeholders in shaping practical, context-sensitive responses to the challenges of hate speech, incitement, and social polarization.
The outcomes of this workshop will feed directly into the final recommendations and policy-oriented outputs that ACT and its partners are preparing as part of this initiative.
