ACT organization releases a project for responding to gender-based violence
ACT Organization for Conflict Resolution held its initial meeting of the mediation course on Saturday 25/11/2023 within the project to strengthen the community’s ability to deter and respond to gender-based violence, with the participation of a diverse group of lawyers and experts in different sectors like social service, psychology, accounting, and more. The project is being implemented by the organization and funded by the Government of Canada. During this meeting, multiple axes were addressed including the definition of gender-based violence with respect to conflict resolution, the definition of conflict, how it is established and how it escalates, and its scales. In addition to conflict analysis and the most crucial tools used in analysing it, and how people behave during conflict. It should be noted that the mediation meeting will be accompanied by training specialized in gender-based violence to build the participants’ skills in this field and to reflect on the professional framework in which they work.
