Act- Conflict Resolution organized a workshop entitled (Preserving the crime scene and achieving criminal justice) in coordination with the police and in partnership with the police and with the support of the GIZ Foundation as a part of the Time To Act program, for the members of the security institution in the National Security Command Hall in the city of Qalqilya.
The Police Public Relations and Media Department stated that the workshop was organized in the presence of Brigadier General Mahmoud Al-Issa, Director of the Public Relations and Media Branch, Colonel Ashraf Mutlaq, Head of the Community Police Department in the Police and Deputy Director of Joint Operations Lt. Col. Governorate
In turn, Colonel Ashraf Mutlaq stressed the importance of these awareness-raising workshops for security personnel, especially as they are partners and supporters of the work and procedures of the police force in dealing with criminal cases and their important role in protecting the crime scene, preserving evidence and making use of everything that is present at the crime scene to reach the perpetrators and uncover the circumstances of the crime.
In his turn, Lt. Col. Hashaika welcomed the attendees, conveying to them the greetings of Brigadier General Ghazi Basharat, commander of the Qalqilya region, stressing the importance of these meetings and workshops aimed at raising the efficiency of security forces personnel in various fields, which contributes to making the right decisions while performing their missions, dealing with criminal cases, and clarifying their role and duties in maintaining the crime scene.
The workshop, which was moderated by Brigadier General Mahmoud Al-Issa, touched on three main topics, the first is crime scene preservation and the first responder to the crime scene to preserve forensic evidence, presented by Major Salim Jebat from the Forensic Evidence Department, the second is the definition of cybercrime, in which Captain Ammar Dawabsha spoke, and the third topic, in which Lieutenant Sabreen Al-Jamal from the laboratory department spoke Criminal about the work of the criminal laboratory department.
In the end, the discussion was opened to the attendees and the interventions were made and answered by the speaking officers in the workshop.
