Signing a memorandum for understanding between Al-Najah University and ACT Conflict Resolution Institution
Al Najah National University represented by Dr. Naem Salameh, Dean of the Law Faculty in the university, signed a memorandum for understanding with ACT Conflict Resolution Institution represented by Lawyer Mohammad Hadieh, the Executive Director of the Institution, in the presence of Mr. Khaled Al Husseini, Director of the Public Relations Department. The signing took place on Thursday 10th of June 2021, in the Law Faculty in the Universities’ new campus.
This memorandum comes within the framework of achieving joint and constructive cooperation to enhance the role of arbitration and mediation as productive and effective alternative means to resolve commercial and civil disputes. In addition, to reach an arbitration environment that contributes to exchanging experiences and developing capabilities. In addition to increasing collaborations with universities and increasing the interests in researches and studies.
Both sides agreed on sharing and building experiences in the field of arbitration and mediation. In addition to spreading knowledge and understanding to students in the Faculty of Law, around the importance of using arbitration and mediation as alternatives for conflict resolution and to increase research and academic production in the fields of arbitration and mediation.
In the field of research and training, both sides agreed to hold a series of meeting and training programs for law students. In addition to creating activities related to this field and preparing studies and papers related to these topics.
Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Naem Salameh, thanked ACT Conflict Resolution Institution on its role and efforts in the community, while Mr. Mohammad Hadieh, Executive Director of the institution, expressed his appreciation to the Law Faculty and praising the universities role with all social sectors including the legal one
